Robert Rollston

Robert Rollston is a retired fire investigator with Chesterfield County. He has over 36 years of experience in both the fire service and in law enforcement.  Before retirement he was a certified accelerant detection canine handler through Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He is a Certified Fire Investigator and has investigated over 1600 structural, vehicle and wildland fires. Additionally, he has investigated numerous post blast incidents and environmental crimes incidents. He is currently certified as an NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator, NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector and Fire Investigation Instructor through the Virginia Fire Marshal Academy. He has completed courses in Environmental Crimes Investigations, Environmental Crimes Investigations and Advanced Post Blast Investigation.  He is a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services General Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He has testified as an expert witness in both criminal and civil court. Robert is an active member of the Central Virginia Fire and Arson Association, The International Association of Arson Investigators and is current the First Vice President of the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
